*Update*  I was able to find a similar battery, not exactly correct battery and with some tin foil over the back of the battery compartment.   it allowed me to try and get some pictures of it working.  I'm no expert on these and have never owned one before. So I apologize for the bad pictures, but they do show it powers on.
These are pictures of my bathroom sink and hallway.

It's missing the battery compartment cover, as shown in pictures. It does power on and works in the dark, but the lense has some dust/dirt on the inside that needs to be cleaned.
